NCAA Indoor: Oregon?s Phyllis Francis makes 400 final

NAMPA, Idaho - Oregon sophomore Phyllis Francis upset the form chart by advancing to Saturday's final in the 400 meters with a PR of 53.04 at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday.

Francis, who came in as the No. 12 seed posted the fourth-fastest time overall to earn a spot in the faster of the two final heats.

LSU suffered a blow when neither of its 400 runners made the final, while Arkansas' Regina George made the final with the No. 2 mark.
